|Soviet-Russian Valor Medal with Research|
WW2 Soviet order of glory 3rd class w/photo copies of research. Typically, this type of research ran the previous owner about $70+ per medal/grouping. It is really nice to have these ww2 Russian medals with all the research and history on the individual done for you already.
This order of glory medal was awarded on April 2, 1945 to Private Gavriil Klenin, rifleman of the 1054th Rifle Regiment, 301st "Stalinskaya" Order of Survorov 2nd cl. Division (5th Shock Army, 1st Belorussian Front). On January 14, 1945, during the breakthrough of the German defensive line near the town of Warka (near the Vistula River south of Warsaw - you can look it up on the map) he was the first to breat into the second line of the enemy trenches where he killed four Germans with bayonet in hand-to-hand combat.
