WW2 Japanese Military Flag  

WW2 Japanese military good luck flag (hinomaru yosegaki) which was a traditional gift for Japanese soldiers deployed during military engagements, most notably during WW2. This one appears to be a capture GI souvenier take home with the GI name in the corner (Sgt Davenport Feb. 9). The flag is the national flag which was typically signed by friends and family with short messages and wishing the soldier victory and good luck. Flag is worn and used condition with ties in two corners. Size approx 27 inches X 30 inches.
