Hungarian Attila for an Infantry enlisted
man. Tunic bears the manufacturer/inspector's stamp
from the firm in the Subcarpathian region where it was made
as well as some size or unit numbers stenciled in the lining.
This tunic dates to approximately 1865-1875 and shows wear consistent
with its age and some minor old repairs to the right cuff (that do not
show when displayed if the arm is slightly folded behind the right
lower skirt). All buttons are original to the tunic as is the
gold metallic thread braiding. A nice and scarce tunic
from a turbulent period of Europe's history..............$1,700.
